Massage therapy consists primarily of hands-on manipulation of the soft tissues of the body, specifically the muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints for the purpose of optimizing health. Included in your appointment at Axis RMT will be the use of an assessment of soft tissue and joints in order to develop, maintain, rehabilitate or augment physical function, and/or relieve pain (Adapted from the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, and the Massage Therapy Act of 1991).


Myofascial Release

Gentle sustained pressure applied by hand without the use of lotion to target the Fascial network of the body
Optional- bring a sports top and shorts for treatment.


Active Release Technique

ART is a patented soft tissue management system that is a movement based massage technique treating problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.

Please bring a pair of shorts and a tank top for treatment.


Functional Movement Screen

Functional Movement Screen (FMS) and Injury Prevention appointment provides a 15 minute FMS to identify the client's movement baseline along with 30 minutes of corrective exercise or soft tissue therapy.
